What is the SIUT Volunteer Program?
This twice-a-year program, held during summer and winter vacations, allows students to gain valuable experience in a healthcare setting while giving back to the community. An orientation is held on the first day of the event. During this session, participants and their parents are informed about the activities scheduled for the entire week. Students are also briefed about the program’s code of conduct and presented with their official SIUT volunteer coat. Students will participate in activities designed to:
- Improve patient care and experience: Volunteers will learn how to support hospital staff and enhance the experience of patients at SIUT.
- Develop social responsibility: The program nurtures a sense of giving back and helping others.
- Explore the field of healthcare: Students will be exposed to different areas of medicine through lectures, workshops, and interactive sessions.
